The four projects displayed here involve different concepts and techniqueS to create textures.
1. ASHES, A ceramic project, IS originated FROM the intention to be circular with food waste. using the mineral PROPERTY of WASTED bones, it creates textures on ceramics varRYING IN density, VOLUME and even colors.
2. antiviral clothing WAS DESIGNED WHILE graduatiNG FROM DESIGN ACADEMY EINDHOVEN, IN PANDEMIC TIMES. MERGING FUNCTION, CONCEPT AND AESTHETICS, THE PROJECTS STATES intimacy as a luxury under pandemic times.
THE GARMENT PROTECT THE USER FROM VIRUSES AND BACTERIAS AND THEREFORE REPAIR THE ABILITY TO TOUCH ONE ANOTHER within a hygene-driven society. technically, various stitches WERE EXPERIMENTED TO carry the metal yarns: jacquard, intarsia, net... PROJECT IN COLLABORATION WITH THE KNITWEARLAB, FUNDED BY KNITTING HOLLAND.
3. THE BLACK AND WHITE KNITTED SAMPLES EXPLORE THE POTENTIAL OF ELASTANE TO CREATE GENUINE PATTERNS AND TEXTURES. BY PRESSURING THE ELASTIC THREAD WITH SPEED AND TENSION VARIATIONS, THE FINAL OUTCOME CAN BE RICH IN VOLUME AND GRAPHICS, FOLLOWING A SIMPLE PROCESS.
4. one LAST project FOLLOWS THE EXPLORATION WITH ELASTANE TO CREATE VOLUME IN A MORE CONTEMPORARY AND TECHNICAL MANNER. FOR A RESEARCH ADRESSED TO THE SPORTSWEAR INDUSTRY IT EXPERIMENTS WITH ELASTANE, MELTING YARNS AND SHRINKING YARNS TO GIVE VOLUME AND HARDEN SURFACES. IT creates organic volumes, looking like blue dunes. THE APPLICATION targets SPORTS OR DANCE WEAR, with PADS to support areas of articulation in contact with the floor.
